Java Bliss
August 30, 2008
I received an espresso machine for my 30th birthday, courtesy of the Fors Chang family. It was such a thoughtful gift in that their purpose in purchasing one for me was to save my family and I money.
Hubby and I are espresso drinkers, regular coffee no longer works for us.
Last week Chris and I finally bought the accessories to go with our machine and some organic coffee. It was great and all but the Hazel Nut touch from Coffee Bean was missing.
Last Tuesday, Coffee Bean kindly sold us the Hazel Nut powder. How wonderful of them! For those who are Java Freaks and Coffee Bean regulars like hubby and myself, you know they only sell Vanilla and Chocolate Powder. I have 2lbs (that’s plenty) of Hazel Nut Powder and now our coffee budget has gone down from $140/month ( I know crazy us), to a mere $40. Like Disneyland Passes, the espresso machine has paid for itself! That is what I call Java Bliss!
I wonder if someone will buy us a vineyard to support our Wine habit? ;p
Special Thanks to my sponsors…
Jenn, Tony, Tito and Ama for my awesome, awesome, AWESOME machine!
The perfectlyimperfect hubby who puts his Coffee Bean skills to work everyday before he leaves for work just so I stay sane ’till 11:50p.m.
My children, because without them I wouldn’t need coffee!
Politics…not for me

When my husband comes home with his stories I find myself either amused or irritated by the stupidity and audacity of some. I mean that in the nicest way possible and totally undirected to the hubby. It’s more so towards those he is around. Obviously you work hard, you get paid well and you’re commended for a job well done. Is it really a wonder to some who are lazy and quick to protest why there is no favor found? For the most part it occurs not only in the workplace but within families, church and obviously all areas in which humans are involved. Simply put, it’s everywhere.
My husband often tells me that I just won’t last in the work place. Being that I’m out spoken, fairly blunt, opinionated and an in your face type of person driven by emotion and passion, I’d have to agree. He’s encouraging me to start my business venture. It’s certainly a pleasant thought not having to deal with any type of management and to be led by my own ideas and fervor. Is that his go signal for me to rule the world? What a thought…everything pink and pleasant. Just as it is now. Notice and emphasis on the words PINK and PLEASANT not PERFECT.
A thought indeed. The adventure begins in the fall. We’ll see how this five year plan goes. Meanwhile the only politics I plan to be involved with is that of squabbling children in search of their own identity driven by their desire for independence and control only to find that no such thing exist thus far because Mommy’s in charge.
“The hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world”…at least for now.

I don’t live a charmed life. Hence the title of my blog.
I face day to day trials, uncertainty, stress, irritants, ordeals. Who doesn’t? Non-the less it is also a life of contentment filled with joy and love. One both extraordinary and mundane. One that I share with my goof balls; Chris, JC and Mika. One that is lived for Him who gave me worth.
Simply put…
